Micro Cube GX 9volts or 5.7 volts?
The amp runs on 6 AA batteries or 5.7 volts ac adapter. How does that work?

Hello everyone!
I have this 60's fender bassman 50 head. I'm doing some fixing and I found these two cables with black tape on the points. Any idea what I could do with them? Thanks
Hi Erick - The wires taped off in the photo look like an additional secondary output from the transformer to the left. Often a particular transformer is used in many products, and not all the secondary outputs are needed in every design.
What could you do with them? I would say "leave them alone".
Hey there,
I'm working on a Laney Aor 100 series 2 I bought for cheap knowing there's an issue. So here it is, the amp cannot get up to loud volumes at all. Go up to maybe 1/2 volume and it refuses to get any louder but the tubes continue to get hotter and hotter. The thing is which is weird is when it's pegged at max it sometimes does this flicker to max volume very quickly and then jumps down back to the lower volume. It is red plating power tube 4. I've got no idea other than the output transformer being bad. Anyone got any experience or any ideas?
Without sufficient negative voltage, the grid will not be able to allow electrons from the cathode to the plate. I'd stick a volt meter on it to make sure you have good grid bias. (Safely!!!!)
I purchased this from the daughter of the original owner who passed away last year. That’s it in my profile picture and also what have to work with. It’s been standing on end in it’s road case for more than a year. The foam is completely deteriorating and I’ve got a lot of cleaning ahead of me.

Probably a switched mode power supply
